Job Description

Miraku Boston is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team.

The primary responsibility of this position is dishwashing and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. In addition, the Kitchen Assistant will support Cooks during service by assisting with basic food preparation, plating, and other kitchen tasks as needed.

No previous restaurant experience is required. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.

• Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area and kitchen.

• Assist Cooks during service with basic food preparation, plating, and other kitchen tasks as directed.

• Help prepare and restock ingredients, toppings, and kitchen supplies.

• Support Cooks in keeping kitchen operations running smoothly during busy service periods.

• Clean kitchen equipment, workstations, floors, and storage areas.

• Handle trash disposal and assist with kitchen opening and closing duties.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

• Work closely with Cooks and Prep Staff as part of the kitchen team.​

Qualifications

• No previous kitchen experience required; training will be provided.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to assist Cooks and learn basic kitchen tasks.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Ability to follow instructions and maintain cleanliness.

• Dependable, punctual, and hardworking.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
